Zoey Spraglin
CAPPA Postpartum Doula in Training
My role as a postpartum doula is to make the transition to parenthood easier for new parents, to help Mom during her recovery period, and to learn what the family needs and to provide education in newborn care. For experienced mothers, I provide physical and emotional support, care for the newborn, and assist other children while Mom cares for the new baby.
It is not my role to take over the complete care of the newborn, but to educate and support the family, so they will feel confident caring for their new baby themselves. Postpartum doulas do not offer medical advice or perform any medical procedures.
